About the Artisan
About the Artisan
As a natural tannery in the Netherlands and a family-run business for several generations, a rich history and expert craftsmanship is behind our woolen and leather products. Quality and sustainability are our top priorities.

CHEMICAL-FREE SHEEPSKIN HIDES
The tanning of hides and skins is done in a traditional and a labor-intensive process that can take several weeks. Some operations such as: washing, scraping, wringing, grinding, stretching and combing is done with the help of machines. This results in unique handcrafted goods to be enjoyed for a lifetime. This process carries an energy that you won’t find in a chemically and mass-produced pelt.

COMFORT + EXPERT CRAFTSMANSHIP
An organic Dutch sheepskin will enrich your life with warmth, natural beauty and softness. Simply stroking a natural sheepskin fur is incredibly calming and grounding for your nervous system. It connects us to the natural world inside our home. Another reason our pets love our sheepskin goods, too!

SUSTAINABLE, ETHICAL, REVERED
Every sheepskin item tells a unique story. It’s a sustainable and ethical choice, as a natural byproduct of the food industry. No animal is killed primarily for its hide. Utilizing the hides ensures this incredibly special part of the animal is not wasted but truly treasured and loved.
The environmentally friendly small-batch processing yields goods that not only promote health but hold a deep respect for the animal that the hide came from.
Our sheepskin products represent animals that have lived a full and happy life. Their hide is not just a material… it's a heritage.
